Macros are when one action on your part preforms multiple actions in game such as programing your mouse to twice when you only press it once or programing your keyboard to empty your entire keyboard via mousekeys by pressing a single button. This was programed by Jagex to make the game slightly more enjoyable for pkers or people in tight situations. A key on your keyboard that does a single action on rs when you press it is perfectly legal, infact you'll find that the function keys affect the game when you press them, changing your tabs. General rule of thumb, one action on your part should always amount to one action in game.
